As far back as 1000BC, Chinese Medicine used acupuncture as a means of restoring energy, health and balance within the body. In modern western medicine, there is a background of sound research and evidence which suggests acupuncture may help reduce pain by stimulating the brain and spinal cord to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals, such as endorphins, melatonin and serotonin.
Acupuncture involves the use of single use, pre-sterilised, disposable needles of varying widths, lengths that pierce the skin at specific Acupuncture points. The Clinician will determine the locations of the Acupuncture points based upon your diagnosis and the location of your pain. A number of needles may be used at each treatment and these are typically left in position for 20-30 minutes before being removed.

“Came in today to see Will about a problem with my shoulder. He gave an in depth assessment of the problem, gave thorough treatment and an aftercare programme. Very pleased with the care I received and have booked in for a follow up! Thanks Will”.June W
“After a lengthy journey from previous therapists, Will has quickly helped my sciatic pain and helped strengthen my lower body. He professionally identified many weaknesses but laid out an exercise plan with treatment, which I found very assuring. I found the massage very professional and his use of acupuncture was helpful for pain relief in my lower back and hips- I’ve booked back in for a follow up assessment- would highly recommend”.William B
